• Experience in scaling IT operations from the ground up is highly desirable,
• Deep knowledge of enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and IT operations. Familiarity with managing cloud environments, SaaS applications, and endpoint security,
• Proven track record of building and leading IT teams, knowing when to contract external expertise versus hiring full-time staff,
• Exceptional at diagnosing issues, implementing solutions quickly, and preempting future IT challenges with innovative thinking,
• Experience in managing cross-functional projects, ensuring IT initiatives support business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget,
• Strong interpersonal and... communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments globally and convey complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and support of business applications to ensure they align with xAI's operational and strategic goals,
• They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their team,
• Administer and optimize tools like Okta, Rippling, GSuite, Notion, various cloud services, and Slack to enhance productivity and collaboration across global teams,
• Ensure robust, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure. Manage employee laptops, focusing on top-notch security measures, and implement IT and InfoSec policies to safeguard xAI's information assets,
• Streamline the processes for onboarding new employees and offboarding departing ones, ensuring efficient handling of IT resources and access rights,
• Maintain excellent network connectivity in all offices for seamless work environments and uninterrupted virtual meetings,
• Work closely with InfoSec, Supercomputing, Leadership, and Networking teams to ensure integrated IT solutions that support xAI's mission to advance human scientific discovery
