Situated on the east bank of the Thames, the four-star New Providence Wharf hotel is a modern luxury retreat near the world-famous O2 Arena, and just 20 minutes from the ExCel Centre and London City Airport.

We are currently recruiting for a Night Manager to join our Talented team.

Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, this is an exciting role for a talented individual who is looking for career growth and for the opportunity to lead a hardworking team.

What we offer
• £28,080.00 per annum
• Full Time & Permanent, full-time contract (38.5 hrs per week)
• Shifts: 4 On - 3 Off and 4 Off - 3 On

The Hotel:

Situated on the east bank of the Thames, the four-star Canary Wharf East is a modern luxury retreat near the world-famous O2 Arena, and just 20 minutes from the ExCel Centre and London City Airport.

For a complete... escape, the hotel’s tranquil East River Spa offers indulgent treatments with ESPA products as well as a sauna, steam room and 24-hour gym. Seven meeting rooms offer a selection of spaces for business gatherings, weddings and events for between 2 and 250 people.

Your role

As a Night Manager, you will be running the hotel at night.

You will manage, coach and train the team to provide courteous and efficient service to all guests and maintain the levels of service to the highest standards at all times.

You will lead by example and greet guests in a warm, friendly manner and be a true ambassador for excellent service, dealing with all requests and queries in an efficient and professional manner, whether face to face or over the telephone.

You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.

Responsibilities of a Night Manager will include but are not limited to:
• Managing the guest experience, ensuring each and every guest receives great service, defined by our values and mission statement.
• Managing departmental costs by ensuring scheduling and resources are dispatched accordingly to support operational performance.
• Establishing opportunities for consistently improving operations.
• Addressing guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
• Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Regularly reviewing guest experience feedback, sharing results and comments, and working to improve each facet of the business.
• Collaborating with all other departments in a respectful, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Maintaining a courteous, helpful, and friendly attitude toward all guests, confidently using guest names at every opportunity.
• Being aware of complaints or problems, bringing them to the attention of the Front Office and Duty Manager, and offering assistance with integrity.
• Undertaking night audits and hotel safety checks to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and staff.
• Continuously improving operational processes and ensuring clear communication with relevant team members.
• Training the night receptionist to maintain a high standard of guest service and operational efficiency.
• Ensuring the security and safety of the staff and guests during the night shift.

The core skills and experience required to succeed:
• A true passion for the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous experience as a receptionist or reception supervisor is required.
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud is a must, and it's a dealbreaker if lacking.
• Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, is a dealbreaker.
• Ability to understand guests' needs and create exceptional service experiences that result in lasting memories.
• Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to anticipate guests' needs.
• Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and influencing others to work according to defined procedures and standards.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A flexible, enthusiastic team player with a willingness to embrace change and adapt quickly.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
