The French Market first opened as an Artisanal French Bakery, Wine Shop & Deli in February 2021 in Whetstone (Barnet, North London). We now produce a top quality range of artisanal classic French breads & pastries for our 3 SHOPS (Barnet, Finsbury Park & Tufnell Park), our wine bar (Authentique Epicerie & Bar) as well as a growing number of wholesale customers. All our production is done at our first store in Barnet where we make everything fresh from scratch... with the best ingredients daily. We import Label Rouge Flour from Foricher & the Butter from Isigny.
Working alongside our experienced Head Baker, we are looking for motivated Bakers to join our expanding team.
Baking experience and requirements:
• Minimum 2 years employment in an artisanal bakery
• Happy and able to work night shifts (from 9pm or 10pm)
• SHAPING SOURDOUGH AND BAGUETTES
• OVEN BAKING BREAD (deck-oven) AND PASTRIES (ventilated oven)
• Mixing dough for bread and pastries
• Experience in making croissants & laminated dough is a plus
• Passionate about baking specialist breads and keen to develop skill
• A strong team player with a positive attitude to problem solving
• This is a full-time position: 40 hours a week
• Overtime is paid
• 28 days paid holiday per year
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
