Audio FPGA Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audio FPGA Engineer to join a leading SMB in professional audio technology located in Chessington, Surrey. This role offers a dynamic environment for those passionate about audio and music innovation, with the chance to work on low-latency, high-accuracy audio systems and shape the future of live performance technology.
Responsibilities:
• Design audio engines and develop new features for consoles, racks, DMIs, and processors.
• Develop algorithms for audio effects, signal routing, and communication protocols.
• System architecture, schematics, and IC selections.
• Document designs, interfaces, and protocols.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in VHDL and strong understanding of digital signal processing, high-speed digital design, and embedded systems.
• Experience with audio interfaces and serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, I2S).
• Knowledge of Dante, AES67, Ethernet, or IP networking.
• Experience with Xilinx... FPGA tools (Vivado, ISE, Vitis) and audio consoles.
• Familiarity with C/C++ and digital audio systems.
