Higher Level Teaching Assistant
We are seeking:
To appoint an enthusiastic & experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant;
Grade 7 – SCP 23 – 25 £35,577 – £36,567 FTE, AYR;
Actual Salary: £31,880 – £32,767
Hours: 8.15 am-4 pm Mon- Fri
To be responsible for:
• Overseeing, planning and delivering interventions;
• Developing our SALT provision, working with children individually, in groups and with families;
• Supporting our new to English children;
• Working within a class as a teaching assistant;
• Covering classes as and when needed across the school.
Key to your success will be:
• Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in line with the requirement of this role as defined in the JD/PS;
• Full working knowledge of relevant polices/codes of practice/legislation;
• Working knowledge and experience of implementing national/foundation stage curriculum and other... relevant learning programmes/strategies;
• Good understanding of child development and learning processes;
• Good understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Excellent initiative and able to demonstrate the ability to problem solve and react quickly and effectively to resolve situations that arise;
• Establishing productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model whilst planning, implementing and developing intervention(s) and covering classes;
• Outstanding people skills;
• Excellent oral, written and numerical skills;
• Able to support and actively promote the Catholic ethos of the school.
