Head Teacher at The Norwegian Kindergarten in London

It is important that you have a good understanding of Norwegian/Scandinavian culture and are committed to promoting and embracing it in your work.
As Head Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kindergarten, working directly with the children as well as managing administrative duties. You will be responsible for creating a warm and nurturing environment that fosters the growth and development of every child in our care... Additionally, you will oversee the development and implementation of the kindergarten's curriculum, ensuring that it is tailored to the needs of each child and meets the requirements of the Norwegian curriculum.
To be considered for this role, you should hold a relevant qualification in early childhood education or a related field and have substantial experience in a leadership role within a nursery or kindergarten setting. You should have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective curricula, managing teams of teachers and support staff, and maintaining strong relationships with parents and the wider community. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of the English nursery system and be able to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Working directly with children and creating a warm and nurturing environment
• Managing administrative duties such as budgeting, HR, and communication with parents
• Overseeing the development and implementation of the kindergarten's curriculum
• Managing a team of teachers and support staff
• Maintaining strong relationships with parents and the wider community
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation
