About the role: Are you passionate about working with children but don’t have formal teaching experience? This could be the perfect opportunity to start your journey in education! We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and friendly primary school in Edgware. Whether you’ve had experience with children in other settings or are looking for a career change, we welcome your application! As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both the class teacher and the students. From working one-on-one with children who need extra help to assisting in whole-class activities, your contribution will make a big difference. You will be working with children from both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged in their learning journey. No experience is necessary – just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn on the job!

Application Requirements:

• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• Any previous experience working with children (in any setting) or transferable skills are a plus but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Working one-on-one or in small groups with students who need additional support.
• Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
• Helping prepare teaching materials and classroom resources.
• Encouraging students’ confidence and independent learning.
