Job Descrption
The Hyde Gallery, a prestigious independent fine art gallery in Chiswick, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Art Teacher to join our creative team. In addition to showcasing contemporary fine art, we offer private art education classes for children and adults, with weekly sessions after school, on weekends, and seasonal workshops for adults.

We are looking for an individual with a strong passion for art education, a dedication to fostering students’ artistic growth, and the organizational skills to develop and manage our art programs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach children and adults who are passionate about art in both weekly classes and workshops.
• Inspire and guide students to improve their skills, track progress, and help them achieve their artistic goals.
• Take full responsibility for overseeing the art program, working closely with our gallery’s Art Director to ensure high standards.
• Develop lesson plans, implement creative ideas, and oversee the execution of the... curriculum.
• Build meaningful relationships with students and parents, fostering a long-term commitment to learning at The Hyde Gallery.
• Oversee ad-hoc gallery maintenance tasks as part of the role’s collaborative responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate:
• A self-motivated and experienced teacher who can elevate the art classes and student experiences.
• Holds an Art Degree or Teaching Degree with a background in art education.
• Is passionate about nurturing children’s artistic talents and providing a positive, enriching environment for all students.
• A skilled communicator who can encourage students, discuss progress with parents, and build lasting connections.
• Possesses a proactive and organized approach to managing tasks and schedules.
• Has a growth-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous learning and development.
• Capable of working independently while managing classroom dynamics and gallery-related tasks with autonomy.
• A creative problem solver, contributing new ideas and solutions to enhance the overall art program.
• Enthusiastic about working in a family-owned art gallery where creativity and community go hand-in-hand.

Compensation & Schedule:
• Salary: £16,000 per year for part-time or £24,000 per year for full-time, with reviews and increases based on experience and the growth of the club.
• Term time: 24 hours per week (part-time).
• Schedule:
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 am – 6:00 PM
• School holidays: Monday to Friday (14 weeks per year).
