Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Coordinator to join our team for a prestigious high-end residential refurbishment project in Central London. This project involves working on a listed building, requiring meticulous coordination of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works to meet the highest standards and ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
Main Responsibilities
• Coordination of MEP Works: Oversee and coordinate all on-site MEP activities, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: Liaise with... designers, project managers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of MEP works.
• Design Coordination: Work closely with the design team to review drawings, provide technical input, and attend design coordination meetings.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the progress of MEP works, report on timelines, and identify potential issues or delays. Provide updates to the project team and senior management regularly.
• Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure they have the necessary materials and manpower, and that timelines are adhered to for the MEP scope.
• Site Meetings and Inspections: Attend regular site and stakeholder meetings to ensure clear communication, progress alignment, and coordination of inspections and testing for MEP systems.
• Compliance and Commissioning: Ensure that MEP systems comply with UK building regulations and standards. Coordinate the commissioning of MEP systems and ensure that all required testing and inspections are carried out successfully.
• Problem-Solving and Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to the site team and assist in resolving any issues related to MEP works.
The Ideal Candidate
• Proven experience as an MEP Coordinator or similar role in high-end residential refurbishment projects, particularly on listed buildings.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple contractors, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
• In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and standards, specifically related to MEP works.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle challenges in a dynamic construction environment.
• Experience working on listed buildings is highly desirable.
