Higher-Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Ruislip, Hillingdon
Position: Year 3 Teaching Assistant at a Primary School
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £18,000-£19,000 per annum
A vibrant and well-respected Primary School in Hillingdon is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team as a Year 3 Teacher Partner. Job Purpose
To assist teaching staff in fostering the development and education of pupils, including those with diverse special needs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the classroom teacher, you will:
Actively participate in planned educational activities and work programs.
Support the personal and individual development of students or small groups.
Supervise the activities of individuals or groups of pupils.
Ensure the safety of all students.
Help the class teacher manage challenging behaviour... in accordance with the school's Behaviour Policy.
Promptly report any safeguarding concerns to your line manager or designated safeguarding officer.
Assist in preparing classroom resources as requested by the class lead.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in classrooms and associated areas.
Attend training sessions provided by the school.
Support the class teacher in communicating with parents and families (e.g. , diaries, phone calls, parents' evenings).
Organize necessary documentation and forms for class activities.
Optionally lead the class when the teacher is unavailable.
Professional Development
Take responsibility for identifying and pursuing appropriate continuing professional development (CPD) to enhance knowledge and improve practice.
Pursue any relevant accredited qualifications.
Participate in the Trust's performance management program.
Qualifications
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or other relevant qualification.
A Bachelor's degree.
Prior experience working within a classroom.
