Job Descrption

To provide and maintain an efficient and reliable 24 hour admissions service for women attending the Maternity Unit. To provide an efficient out-patient service for women attend the Maternity Assessment Unit for urgent out-patient and day case care. To ensure patient documents are prepared and delivered to the maternity unit in a timely manner To provide admissions information to patients, relatives and staff To deal with telephone enquires promptly To provide assistance and guidance to the patients/visitors on arrival to the hospital Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
