Senior Engineer:

Dar is seeking a highly-driven and talented engineer to join our Water and Environment (WE) Department. The WE team is a mission-driven team delivering exceptional water infrastructure solutions, environmental planning and design services for communities around the world. The selected candidate will have the... opportunity to work on highly impactful projects - often from the earliest stages of planning and design to supervision of construction and final handover - in many countries across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. As such, the ideal candidate will combine outstanding technical capabilities with a strong work ethic and a willingness to work with diverse teams in diverse locations.

Essential Experience:
• Experience in modelling and designing water and infrastructure networks, including among other subspecialties, water transmission and distribution networks, sewer and drainage networks, hydraulic structure designs, hydrology and surface water modelling, etc and should be versed in using industry-standard software programs to develop the design.
• A demonstrated track record of preparing design drawings, specifications, and other documents.
• Solid understanding of stakeholder engagement and the wider societal, economic, and logistic issues connected to water infrastructure design.
• Ability to immediately learn design standards and criteria of/for municipalities and other regulatory authorities in countries of operation.
• Excellent English communication skills, Arabic, French or Portuguese are a plus.
• Excellent computer skills in a variety of software packages including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS projects, etc..)

Desirable Experience:
• Experience in water resources engineering and modelling.
• Experience in integrating various designed systems into a coherent design package ready to construct.
• Ability to read, understand, interpret, prepare or amend technical specifications.
• Ability to respond to client's proposal requirement and deliver project proposals for efficient and competitive bids
• Ability to work on fast-track projects
