We are seeking Senior Engineers to be based out of our London, Southampton, Leeds, Birmingham, or Bristol offices. This role involves working directly with clients to achieve their sustainable transport needs and acting as an Engineering Designer and Project Manager on a diverse range of projects.

Skills
• A civil engineering degree or relevant degree/equivalent
• Membership of a relevant professional body
• Chartered Engineer Professional status (or working towards it)
• Proven ability to lead and manage project teams
• Experience in transport, traffic signals, road safety, and highway engineering
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Good spoken and written communication skills
Responsibilities
• Work directly with clients to achieve sustainable transport needs
• Act as Engineering Designer & Project Manager on various projects
• Serve as Line Manager for individuals in the Liveable Places team
• Provide traffic engineering experience, particularly in traffic signals design and modeling
• Prepare and review reports, drawings (using CAD), schedules, and other documents
• Ensure financial performance of projects
• Undertake technical reviews and check design deliverables
• Collaborate with the Liveable Places team and the wider WSP business
Qualifications
• Civil engineering degree or equivalent
• Membership of a relevant professional body
• Experience in leading and managing project teams
• Knowledge of transport, traffic signals, road safety, and highway engineering
• Strong communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Education Requirements Credential Category
• Professional Engineering License or similar certification preferred
Experience Requirements
• Proven experience in a relevant engineering role
• Demonstrated success in managing projects within the transport and infrastructure sector
