Are you ready to elevate your career in bridge and civil structures? Our client, a highly prestigious consultancy has just started looking for a Principal Bridge Engineer in their Central London office. They are a larger, multi-disciplinary company, with offices across the UK. They have a very busy order book, that spans rail, highway and local authority projects.
Your Role:
As a Principal Bridge Engineer, you’ll drive innovation and excellence in bridge design and assessment. Reporting to the Technical Director, you’ll lead projects, mentor teams, and ensure top-notch technical quality. Your role will involve:
• Leadership & Support: Assist the Technical Director with project delivery, client relations, and business development.
• Project Oversight: Take the reins as the technical lead on diverse bridge and civil structural projects.
• Team Mentoring: Guide teams through structural analysis, feasibility studies, design, and technical... documentation.
• Collaboration: Work with other bridge teams for optimal resource use and successful project outcomes.
• Quality Assurance: Deliver inspections, designs, and reports in line with national standards and client briefs.
• Innovation: Promote creative solutions while adhering to health and safety standards.
Your Background:
• Qualifications: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Status: MICE or MIStructE, with significant post-professional experience in bridge engineering.
• Experience: Strong knowledge of DMRB, MCDHW, or Network Rail design procedures.
• Skills: Proficient in technical report writing and structural design software.
• Experience Preferred: Temporary works, highway and rail projects (Network Rail/TfL).
