• We have a large outdoor space for children’s physical play, and have a focus learning outdoor classroom.

Responsibilities
• The Early Years Teacher ultimately has a duty of care for all children placed in their care to safeguard and promote each child’s welfare.
• Work as part of a team to ensure all legal and curriculum requirements are met in line with Inspire Montessori Schools policies and procedures.
• Good... communication skills are imperative, involving listening, questioning, and understanding and responding to what is being communicated by children and those caring for them.
• Share information with other staff in a timely manner and work together to ensure the safety and well-being of all children within the nursery.
• A good knowledge of child development is essential to ensure that all the children’s individual needs are fully met.
• Be involved in the planning of the activities in your room to create and develop a stimulating environment in order to provide a high level of quality childcare.
• Undertake training in Health and Safety as necessary, both on appointment and as required in line with legislative changes.
• Follow codes of safe working practices for both children and staff and comply with the Inspire Montessori Schools Health and Safety Policy.
• Report any concerns in relation to the wellbeing and safeguarding of children and staff as outlined in the company’s policies and procedures.
• Co-ordinate and carry out the planning and prioritising of the activities and progress in the room.
• Ensure a full awareness of their responsibilities in line with all company policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
• Ensure that the room complies with all aspects of various internal company audits and that any action points are addressed.
• Deliver a high level of quality childcare whilst maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff.
• Communicate with their line manager regarding the activities and progress within the room.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development for themselves and others.
• Reflect on working practices within their room to improve the quality of childcare provided.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings & training.
• Be assigned as key person for a designated number of children to ensure that all their basic and developmental needs are met.
• Be responsible for ensuring that all children within their room are safe and secure.
• Build effective relationships with all parents within the room.
• Take sufficient care of all visitors, staff and parents in order to comply with legal requirements.
• Implement, co-ordinate and supervise suitable activities to create and develop a stimulating environment.
• Assist with the resolution of issues/queries/complaints within the room to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Ensure all areas of the nursery are serviced and maintained to the highest standards.
• Positively support equality of opportunity and equality of treatment towards all staff in accordance with the Inspire Montessori Schools Equal Opportunities Policy.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene by being an ambassador to encourage others to do the same.
• Punctual and on time for your shifts at the nursery to ensure care for the children is met.
• Attendance is above 80% for the regularity for the children.
