Job Descrption
CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for this start-up Fund of Fund type investment business, that is pitching as a Multi Family Office focussing on the Private Markets - Private Equity, Fund and Primary Venture Cap, and Growth Investments. The founders of the company have incredible pedigree in the market, and have highly ambitious and well funded plans to grow the company quickly. With $250m already locked in for the first 12 months alone, this is such an exciting chance to work for what we believe is a company that is going to be a huge success, that raises money from non-institutional sources (mostly European entrepreneurial wealth) which is set up as a fund with various discretionary pools underneath. What a fabulous time to be joining this firm, where you can really make a name for yourself.
To be considered for this role, CassonX are looking to identify someone who is a real problem solver who comes from a Private Markets (Private Equity or Venture Cap) or Family Office ... Fund of Funds background. You must have knowledge of NAVs, but you will not calculate the NAV, just reconcile it. The success candidate will be experienced enough to deal with all things new, supporting high growth in the firm from it's inception, and not only needs someone who understands the mechanics of Fund Administration and some elements of accounting, but also showcasing an independent, in-depth and proactive mindset to work on many "projects" for new processes, automations, technology enhancements, new product launches or investments for new clients in new funds. We are looking to identify someone who has seen Private Equity Operations in roles like Fund Admin / Fund Accounting from any of the following backgrounds:
• PE/VC Fund or for a Fund Services provider dealing with Fund Administration including reconciliations, capital calls, fund reporting, compliance documentation, audit requests as example.
• Working in an accountancy firm specialising in PE/VC/Family Offices and have seen book keeping, management accounts or supporting CFOs, and looking to move onto the client side.
• Working for an Angel Investor company that focuses on Venture Capital, and operationally supported new products/initiatives, taking them through to investment stage and thereafter managing the investment.
• Operations / Chief of Staff / Business Management / Project focussed role in a Family Office or Investment Company that invests in PE/VC strategies.
• A mixture of any of the above.
This incredibly varied role, due to the fact it's the first hire in Operations, will see you show your ambitious drive to problem solve many issues in a logical manner. Whilst you will support the Fund Administration process and will include capital call, AML/KYC, Subscriptions and Redemptions, Invoices, movements of client monies and liaising with many different Fund Administration companies, you will also have to create many roadmaps and offer plenty of projects and new process analysis and accounts for KPIs, budgets and viability. This will be to support all Fund Raising and Investment execution, Compliance requirements and Fund Accounting processes with their Fund Administrators and the Funds they invest in. You will also support the strategic "feasibility" assessment process of product launches, for instance ascertaining the best outcome for various geographical and their relevant regulatory responsibilities as example.
