JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst will support Debt and Structured Finance but also work on M&A... advisory/ equity raising transactions. The candidate will gain broad exposure to all transaction phases including underwriting & financial modeling, market research, preparation of financing materials, lender discussions, term sheet negotiations, and the deal closing process. The candidate should be hard working, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Support transaction execution including due diligence, document preparation, and liaising with relevant counterparts at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
• Monitor and evaluate current events, valuations, and other financial information on the clients of the group.
• Contribute to the origination process for certain sector verticals.
• Build and use financial models and assist in completing valuation and analytical exercises.
• Help prepare presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue.
• Collaborate with team members and provide support as needed.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 1-2 years’ experience in a financial analysis role within commercial real estate, finance or lending
• Bachelor’s degree or MBA
• Strong knowledge of Argus and Excel
• High-level understating of debt concepts such as LTV, Debt Yield, DSCR
• PowerPoint
• Strong writing skills
• Demonstrated research ability
• Knowledge of CoStar, LoopNet, Real Estate Capital Analytics and other real estate data sources is a plus
• Knowledge of loan documents and terminology
