As a leader championing customer success in the UKI Commercial Sales Customer Solutions Management organization, you will lead a team that is responsible for guiding and advancing AWS customers along their multi-year journey to the cloud. You will recruit, develop, and support a group of highly talented individuals that are obsessed with our customers success. Using your experience, you will work with your team, sales and other leaders across AWS to drive strategy, accelerate customer’s journey to the cloud, improve customer engagement, drive adoption and expansion of customer’s footprint on AWS, solve problems, and foster the rapid growth of the organization.

The Customer Solutions Management role is a function that owns our customer's journey throughout the adoption process and ensures we are continuing to provide value as we increase retention and expand the... customer’s footprint on AWS. The team guides our customers through the technology, operational, educational and governance aspects of a successful AWS cloud journey. They interface with customer and AWS leadership, driving collaboration between other core account groups.

In this role, you will be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer journey and skills of your team. You must enjoy learning and introducing new concepts in order to help colleagues and customers embrace and adopt new technology. Furthermore, thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and helping to develop out mechanism to help our customers be successful with AWS. You will help team members ramp-up on AWS as well as develop speaking, writing, presentation, and executive interaction skills. You will need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other departments within AWS such as our sales, services, marketing, and professional services, as well as representing your team to executive management.

Key job responsibilities
• As a key member of the business development and sales management teams, ensure success and growth in our customers cloud journey
• Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Customer Solutions Managers from internal and external sources globally
• Develops and defines long term (5 year) strategy, goals, priorities and metrics for newly created global CSM team supporting the global space industry and integrating across Regions and business sectors. Develops inaugural strategies for integrating workloads between worldwide commercial organizations and global government and national security organizations
• Develops and manages external communications campaign via blogs, whitepapers, technical reports, and presentations at formal space conferences.
• You will own the needs of your team, set and measure goals, coach and mentor employees, and contribute to the overall evolution of the technical delivery function
• Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
• Establishes programs for scaling CSM functions and success across the UKI, including developing new programs and concepts for improved industry cloud initiatives. Assesses resource efficiency globally across customer accounts, and develops and articulates requirements for new resources
• Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

A day in the life
• Manage an industry CSM team.
• Manage pipeline of on-going data migration programs supporting diverse customers.
• Help customers scale across wide-range of cloud-based technologies to growth their businesses.
• Interface with Solution's Architects, Sales leaders, and Cloud Service Teams to build customer unique solutions

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field, or 7+ years of large-scale IT deployment or program experience
• Working knowledge of distributed applications and engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery
• 7+ years in a technology role; 5+ years leading customer-facing teams
• Ability to obtain the AWS Solutions Architecture Certification and AWS Tier 2 Speaker Certification

Preferred Qualifications
• Significant experience (5+ years) implementing cloud services, particularly AWS, and managing large-scale technical programs, especially in high-growth or enterprise environments.
• Strong leadership skills, including a track record of successfully leading migration and transformation initiatives. Demonstrated empathy for customers and passion for their success.
• Analytical and process-oriented mindset with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to C-suite and executive stakeholders. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated problem-solver with advanced organizational and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proven experience thriving in dynamic, customer-focused environments.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Enthusiastic and creative leadership style that inspires others.
