Senior Associate/Solicitor
Location: London
Work Type: Hybrid
Salary: in excess of £60,000
Our client, a well-established multi-site law firm, is seeking a senior litigation associate/solicitor with a strong background across corporate and commercial matters, as well as residential and commercial property matters, to join their thriving team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex disputes, and a deep understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Position Overview
This role involves working with a diverse range of high-profile clients, including SME businesses, property developers, landlords, and private individuals. You will manage complex litigation cases, provide strategic advice, and handle a variety of property disputes. From the outset, you will be entrusted with leading litigation efforts and contributing extensively to both cases and other advisory projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Review, draft, and... negotiate documents related to litigation, due diligence, and compliance.
• Proactively engage with clients to foster strong relationships.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft memoranda on intricate legal issues.
• Handle a range of commercial litigation matters including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy-related work, disputes over personal guarantees, fraud claims and professional negligence claims.
• Handle disputes involving commercial landlord and tenant portfolio management, forfeiture and possession claims, interim and terminal dilapidations claims, and insolvent tenants.
• Provide strategic advice on development site acquisitions, easement disputes, restrictive covenant disputes, and development agreements.
• Manage residential landlord and management company disputes, Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees disputes, and residential lease extensions and freehold purchases.
Requirements
• 5+ years PQE in litigation with a background encompassing corporate, commercial, residential, and commercial property law.
• Proven experience in advising on complex disputes and regulatory matters.
• Strong academic background, commercial awareness, and intellectual curiosity.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
• Excellent time management, professional presence, and client service orientation.
• Proactive, resourceful, and a team player.
