Job Descrption

Managing the day to day running of the current version of 3e and its integrations are working as expected and setup documentation is up to date. Driving forward change related to the functionality of the firm’s Elite 3E and other core Finance Systems.

The role will report to the Head of Finance Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Managing the Support mailbox (with the support of a wider functional team) and working closely with the IT Service Desk team
• Being a “Go To” person for all key Finance Systems used by the Finance Team and other key stakeholders.
• Keeping documentation of key setups and known issues up to date
• Support Finance team and senior management team with 3E data extraction either direct from 3E or via Microsoft Reporting Services, including analysis and presentation utilising ad-hoc reports, SQL queries, design, and creation of new automated reports.
• Review current systems processes and procedures and propose improvements to workflow and reporting processes... to improve service and information delivery to enable internal and external clients gain maximum benefit from 3E and Microsoft Reporting Services functionality.
• Lead Elite training initiatives for the Finance team and the wider business.
• Work closely with IT team on technical systems initiatives and management of relationship with Thomson Reuters / Elite.

To develop the Operation Assistants within the team to make the team self-sufficient and to pass on knowledge as part of longer-term succession planning of the team.
• The Operational Lead will also be involved in other ad-hoc projects as and when they arise.

Qualifications and Experience
• Extensive experience of Elite 3E
• Extensive experience of SQL Server (incl advanced data interrogation techniques).
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Power BI
• Knowledge of VB.NET (Desirable, but not essential)
• Experience in using other key Finance Systems such as Intapp applications (Time and Open), ARCS, Chrome River and Xcelerate
• Experience with BI Solutions
• Strong track record of supporting data analysis requirements of the wider business through creation of new user-friendly reports and ad-hoc data queries.
• Excellent knowledge of practice management systems and other key tools used by Finance Teams.
• Experienced in using Front end application of 3e system and understand processes used within Finance Department
