Title - Programme Support Office Manager
Location - Hybrid - 2 a week in office - London or Manchester
Salary: Up to £63k + Package

The Role:
The Service Delivery function is evolving as part of a new operating model, requiring strong programme capability and leadership to drive success. The Programme Support Office Manager (PSOM) will be part of the Service Delivery function... responsible for delivering changes to the smart metering ecosystem and transitioning these changes into live operation.
Current programmes include delivering communication hubs and networks, as well as capabilities such as the Enduring Change of Supplier and Data Service Provider systems.
PSOMs are part of the Programme Leadership Team, acting as role models and setting standards for programme delivery. This role involves line management responsibilities, supporting and developing a team of Programme Support Office Analysts. The PSOM will ensure that programmes and projects are managed according to best practices.
Key Accountabilities:
• Develop and implement the Programme Support Office (PSO) vision and strategy.
• Ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
• Promote project management best practices within the Service Delivery function.
• Establish and maintain programme management frameworks, templates, and guidelines.
• Monitor programme performance, including risk management and KPI tracking.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on status, risks, and issues.
• Manage a small team of PSO Analysts, including setting objectives and monitoring progress.
• Deputize for Programme Directors as needed.
Experience Required:
Essential:
• 5+ years of experience leading programme support or project management offices in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• 3+ years of line management experience in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with executive-level stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Experience with project management tools.
Desirable:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Project management accreditation (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
• Experience in highly regulated environments and/or the UK energy market.
