Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organised Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors, managing appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule and confirm appointments using our electronic scheduling system
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information about our services
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and... external agencies
- Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient’s healthcare records
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
