Role Purpose:
The People Operations Manager will oversee the efficient and effective management of global and regional people processes, policies, and systems. This role will provide critical support and guidance to regional teams, ensuring the consistent implementation of global people initiatives. The role will also lead the UK People Operations, including managing the employee lifecycle and UK-specific compensation, benefits, and health & safety policies. Additionally, the People Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in the Global People Operations team, contributing to major projects and ensuring excellence in employee relations (ER) and performance management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Employment Operations Advice & Support
• Offer operational advice to the Global People Team to ensure seamless regional delivery and execution of global initiatives.
• Provide hands-on support for the implementation of policies, ensuring alignment with global best practices and compliance with regional regulations.
2. Oversee UK People Operations
• Manage UK-specific employee lifecycle processes including post recruitment onboarding, payroll, pensions.
• Oversee the implementation of global policies and processes in the UK, ensuring compliance with local laws and alignment with global standards.
• With the support of the People Assistant, administer and maintain UK compensation and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing and pension management.
3. Leadership in the People Operations Team
• Play a leading role within the Global People Operations team, collaborating and guiding the team in the effective execution of operations across all regions.
• Foster collaboration and teamwork across the people operations function to ensure operational excellence and employee satisfaction.
4. Global Process Design and Delivery
• Lead the design and delivery of key global people processes such as the annual performance review and annual salary review.
• Ensure these processes are implemented effectively and consistently across all regions, driving employee engagement and performance in liaison with the HR Advisor, Change Management.
5. People Team Metrics and Reporting
• Oversee the delivery of regular people operations metrics to the management team, providing insights and data to inform decision-making.
• Utilize HR analytics to monitor and improve key operational processes and employee engagement.
6. Employee Relations (ER) and Performance Management (UK)
• Provide expert advice and support to UK managers on performance management and employee relations cases.
• Ensure adherence to UK employment laws and best practices in handling ER matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance improvement plans
• Partner with managers and leaders to inform the People strategy, pragmatically collaborate on people challenges, and use data to identify people priorities for the business and address future workforce needs.
7. UK Policy Management
• Design, develop, and own the global policy management process, ensuring that all policies are up to date, compliant, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure policies are effectively communicated and consistently applied across all locations.

• Project Management: Skilled in leading and delivering HR projects across global teams, with an emphasis on collaboration and efficiency.
• Employee Relations & Performance Management: Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices in handling performance management and ER cases.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data and deliver insights for strategic decision-making.
• Global Mindset: Ability to work effectively with international teams, understanding and respecting cultural differences.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with CIPD qualifications above level 5.
• Experience: At least 5-7 years of HR operations experience, with significant exposure to global people processes and regional operations management.
• Skills: Strong expertise in UK employment law, compensation & benefits administration, and HR project management. Experience in leading HR transformation and implementing global HR processes is highly desirable.
This is a permanent role based at CDP’s London office reporting to the Director, People & Culture. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the UK. We cannot sponsor for this role.
Salary and benefits: £45,538 -
£55,000 per annum, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous
non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life
assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and
other benefits.
Final offer amount depends on multiple factors such as
candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total
compensation, and market data.
