Central Regional Engineering Manager
Full Time & Permanent
Based anywhere in the UK, must be willing to travel nationally

We have an opportunity for a Regional Engineering Manager to join our team of staff in our Facilities and Engineering department. The successful candidate must be based in the Central Region of the UK.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
• Experience in managing in an Engineering Maintenance Environment. Experience in working under own initiative is required.
• Experience in delegating duties and line managing Engineers up to the level of Senior Engineer
• Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at... appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card required
• Degree, City& Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering essential
• Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline desirable
• Membership of an appropriate Engineering Institute or professional body
• Fire safety or Fire Risk Assessment training desirable
• Excellent Understanding of Quality Management, customer satisfaction and the continuous improvement process
• Qualified in or having a Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and applicable law
• Advanced understanding of Legionella prevention requirements within Hospital buildings
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated high level of organisation & time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities
• Sound fault finding techniques
Duties of this role include:
• Oversee the provision of Routine and Specialised Engineering Maintenance and breakdown support to hospital sites within Region
• Provide competent Technical, Health, Safety and Environmental support and assistance
• Provide assistance to Senior Engineering Technicians and Facilities Staff across Region
• Support the Head of Engineering, Project Managers and Regional Engineering Managers in their day to day duties
• Provide supplementary Engineering advice to CHG sites
• To provide Management level communication and Interface with Regional Directors and Hospital Executive Directors
• Being an ambassador for the Estates team on site, ensuring high and consistent standards are adopted in day to day works
