Ocean Freight Forwarding Coordinator at Willis Global Ltd

Job Descrption
Main Purpose of the Role:
• Manage the entire sea import process from start to finish
• Book and manage subcontractors throughout the shipment process
• Handle all customs processes where required
• Assist with sea exports as needed
• Complete all billing activities in line with company KPIs
• Create and develop positive working relationships with allocated customers
• Maximize gross profit on shipments and mitigate against any detention/demurrage/storage
• Negotiate contracts, transportation, and handling costs
• Check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements
• Liaise with and manage third parties in accordance with customer requirements
• Arrange insurance and assist the client in the... event of a claim
• Communicate with the customer and maintain visibility and control through all phases of the journey
• Support local business development opportunities
To Be Considered:
• Customer-orientated with the ability to work under pressure
• Previous experience in the freight forwarding industry, specifically sea freight
• Team player with positive working attitude
• Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Elevated level of energy with a "can-do" cheerful outlook and entrepreneurial spirit
• Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
