Assistant Client Accountant - ACCA Qualified Fully Remote

Responsibilities:
This is a full-time remote role for an Assistant Client Accountant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting clients in their everyday bookkeeping needs, processing invoices, bank reconciliations, and managing other accounting activities in a timely and accurate manner.
In addition, the Assistant Client Accountant will work directly with the clients to address any queries and provide ad hoc support as required.
• Working alongside a senior client accountant, you will manage a small- to medium-sized businesses and contractors’ portfolio.
• Review Stat accounts, VAT, Tax, and management accounts prepared by the accounts department for your clients.
• Provide advice and coaching and share your technical knowledge with the Client Accountants and junior staff.
• Follow up with clients to obtain required information.
• Ensure clients are chased on the software updates
• Coordinate with the Accounts Production (AP) team to manage workload.
• Address client queries promptly.
• Assist with basic accountancy and tax inquiries.
• Manage tasks within the Senta platform.
• Oversee the submission of personal tax returns, VAT returns, payroll, and company accounts.
• Review ETB, simple personal tax returns, and company accounts.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Client Accountant.
• Take ownership of the work assigned to you
Qualifications & requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of UK practice experience
• ACCA Qualified
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, & Free Agent
• A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and TAX
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• An ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Experience in managing a portfolio of clients would be advantageous.
