Location: London
Contract: 6 Months Initially
Company: Leading provider of IT services to one of the major Japanese banking group in the EMEA region, supporting one of Japan's largest banks and a global financial powerhouse.
About the Role:
Responsible for overseeing architectural standards across the company Development Team.
Main Duties:
• Create and improve architectural standards for on premise and azure cloud software products, develop cloud migration procedures and guidelines.
• Assist in cloud migration projects, assess readiness and dependencies, optimize for the Cloud.
• Create and review blueprints for software products, provide guidance on improving architecture.
• Coding mission critical parts and performing code reviews.
• Assist on integrating AI technologies to improve existing systems.
Other tasks:
• Ensure that applications are in line with compliance and regulatory standards and conduct regular security assessments of these... applications.
• Technical writing (creating related documentation)
• Assist developers with any architecture related issues and queries. This may extend to troubleshooting issues in company applications and liaising with the relevant support teams such as other Development team sections, Technical Support, Network and Infrastructure and DBAs
Skills and Requirements:
• In depth understanding of Object Orientated programming concepts as well as of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Good understanding of MS .NET Framework environments.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology
• Knowledge of Cloud and AI technologies that can be adopted into the workplace
• Extensive experience working as a software and solutions architect.
• Experience in designing of high-level concepts for software solutions.
• Experience in development of Azure cloud-based as well as on-prem solutions.
• DevOps and SCRUM experience
• Experience in Cloud migration planning and execution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills when dealing with technical and non-technical people.
• Ability to critically analyse designs and provide constructive feedback
• Ability to critically analyse code and provide constructive feedback
Desirable
• Basic Azure cloud certification
• Solid development experience would be beneficial.
• C#/.Net development experience preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Automation tools
• Experience with integrating AI technologies into existing systems in a workplace setting
