We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Application Support professional to join a leading automotive company.
In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and supporting IT systems, hardware, and software. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external end-users. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and a genuine passion for technology.
Additionally, you will manage small projects and workstreams, collaborating with various business units to gather requirements for new systems and improvements to existing ones. You will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical project teams, ensuring successful implementation and progress tracking. You will also support system integration testing, user acceptance... testing (UAT), and training initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and software applications.
• Manage user accounts, including setting up new accounts, resetting passwords, and configuring access permissions.
• Monitor and maintain IT equipment inventory, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Perform routine system backups and ensure data integrity and security.
• Document technical procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with the IT team to implement, improve and support new technologies and upgrades.
• Provide training and support to employees on IT-related issues and best practices.
• Assist with IT-related projects as needed.
Requirements:
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years IT work experience, preferably in Automotive industry but not essential.
• Working experience of Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred. Knowledge of Power BI and SAP or other ERP system will be beneficial.
• Experience with help desk software and ticketing systems is a plus.
• Basic project management skills and business analyst skills
• Basic knowledge of operating systems and common business software applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with end-users of varying technical expertise.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Specialist) is a plus.
