Medical Secretary | Neurogastro
Full time: 37.Shift times: Monday – Friday, 0900-1700
Hybrid working: 1-2 days per week from home
We’re looking for a Medical Secretary to join our Neurogastro Team based at London Digestive Centre.
As a Medical Secretary, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the continued provision of the highest quality of secretarial and administrative support. Duties will include providing full secretarial support to one consultant, managing patient appointments, and liaising with patients and hospital staff as required. Provide full secretarial support to the Consultant's practice (including audio-typing of clinical/non-clinical material, reports etc.) At the consultant’s request, arrange admissions, request investigations, and obtain test results using hospital data systems, drawing attention to abnormal or urgent results.
Manage correspondence and telephone contacts appropriately.
Maintain and file accurate patient records, including appropriate patient case... note filing and preparation of relevant clinic notes prior to Outpatient Clinics.
Previous Medical Secretarial experience.
Significant understanding of Medical terminology.
Strong attention to detail, accurate typing, and letter proofreading skills.
