Family office London Financial Controller £100,000 plus bonus circa 20%
The role is one of financial management and control over a variety of assets and businesses.
The main responsibilities are:
• Ensure that the Chairman’s interests are protected in all matters pertaining to his personal finances
• Experience in dealing with sensitive situations, especially when acting as the point of financial contact to the Chairman
• Management of family assets, financial overview, and control of all aspects of family and Trust business, objectives, projects and resources.
• Accounting and compliance for the asset management company including regular communication with the regulatory authorities.
• Investments and their on-going valuation.
• Project Management - planning, organising, and managing resources to meet specific project goals and objectives.
• Taxation and compliance in different jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with auditors, directors, trustees, beneficiaries, advisors, bankers... lawyers, analysts and authorities for all Family Office entities.
• budgeting, management and financial reporting, cash flow management.
• acting as trustee of charitable trusts and pension funds.
• privately owned properties.
• risk assessment and insurance strategy.
• financial overview and assistance for Other Members of the Family.
• project work including capital assessment and implementation.
Liaison with bankers, lawyers, investment advisors, insurance underwriters and brokers, auditors and tax advisors.
Prepare and present financial and operational reports.
Review of investment and project proposals put forward for approval.
Streamline financial reporting processes and changing the format of presenting year-end financial information so that it could more easily understood by the users.
Person specification
We welcome applications from candidates who have operated at this level in a similar Family office or asset management role. This might also appeal to someone who has worked in a personal wealth management company or has looked after UHNW’s in a practice environment.
Candidates should hold a recognised accountancy qualification and be able to support the application with credible references.
