We are looking for an End User Technology engineer to support Deloitte in a rapidly changing and exciting environment.
The... EUT Engineer role will be responsible for the management and delivery of various desktop operating systems, MCM/SCCM, Intune, applications, patches and virtual desktops in the Deloitte environment.
The MECM/SCCM, Intune and OS environments are a growing and rapidly changing area, underpinning important business process and applications. As a technical specialist, the candidate will be expected to provide technical guidance and technical leadership.
The EUT engineer should be well versed in the various technology areas to support them but is also expected to show leadership, creativity and problem solving in the system, process, and technology domains. We are seeking a proactive individual with a thorough understanding of desktop operating systems, applications, and virtual desktops. You will be involved in the management and delivery of technology solutions, with a focus on learning and growth. The role requires an understanding of business requirements and how these translate into technology solutions, and you should be comfortable communicating clearly to colleagues, IT leadership and business practitioners. Essential Skills
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
• Windows 10 and 11 and Windows Server variants essential.
Strong knowledge of key Microsoft Applications.
Support new customer requests through the creation of new processes and documentation and adapt to new feature capabilities. Also respond to customer requests for support.
Experience with Operating System deployment, knowledge of WinPE, SCCM OSD and WIM image creation and deployment.
Experience of deploying applications through SCCM.
The ability to address infrastructure events that cause feature or system wide outages or negatively impact our ability to deliver services to customers. This includes working directly with the relevant internal teams and Microsoft to address infrastructure related issues.
Experience with managing SCCM Infrastructure support tasks. This includes items such as upgrades/changes to servers, server level components and patching maintenance.
A good knowledge of Windows scripting (primarily PowerShell and VBScript).
Understanding of key security products and how they interact with the operating system.
Knowledge of and ability to create maintain and manage Group Policy Objects and Intune policy.
Knowledge of Autopilot deployments and troubleshooting.
The ability to consult on other projects with a SCCM or Windows build dependency and identify required changes side that may be required.
Some experience of MSI application packaging, standards, process and best practices (Windows Installer, Microsoft ORCA).
Desirable skills
Experience of MDT and similar technologies
Experience of report services
• Power BI and SQL.
Experience with programming languages (VB.net, C, C#, and ASP.net)
