Job PurposeThe Business Head of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) will be responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the facility, ensuring efficient and effective processing of recyclable materials. This role involves strategic planning, business development, team management, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Principal Accountabilities/Key Results AreaOversee daily operations of the MRF, ensuring optimal performance and efficiencyDevelop and implement business strategies to enhance the facility’s profitability and sustainabilityIdentify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets for recyclable materialsPrepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measuresLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvementEnsure the facility complies with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.Build and maintain... relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, clients, and the communityAchieve and maintain high levels of operational efficiency, reducing downtime and increasing throughputMeet or exceed financial targets, including revenue, profit margins, and cost savingsSuccessfully enter new markets and secure new business contracts, increasing the facility’s market shareEnsure that all processed materials meet industry quality standards and client specificationsMaintain full compliance with all environmental regulations and reporting requirementsDevelop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and safety awarenessLead and complete projects aimed at improving recycling processes and adopting new technologiesAchieve high levels of customer satisfaction through reliable service and quality products Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.A master’s degree is preferredMinimum of 10 years of experience in waste management, recycling, or a related industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
