Job Descrption

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate heavy trucks and buses, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Pre-trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to check for mechanical issues, ensuring the vehicle is safe to drive.
• Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo when necessary, ensuring that it is secured properly to prevent shifting during transit.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of hours worked, miles driven, and fuel consumption, as required by law.
• Communication: Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers regarding schedules, delays, or issues.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations, including the use of seatbelts and adherence to weight limits.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to customers, including loading and unloading assistance and addressing any concerns.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to... respond to emergencies, including vehicle breakdowns or accidents, and know the procedures to follow.
• Maintenance Reporting: Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to ensure the vehicle remains in good working order.
• Training and Updates: Stay updated on driving regulations, safety practices, and vehicle technology through ongoing training.
