Job Descrption
Quality Plan and Documentation Development and Review
• Study specifications and establish a detailed understanding of the project quality control requirements.
• Assist or lead in the development and review of the company Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), Quality Procedures, and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to the commencement of any fabrication/construction work.
Fabrication (Welding and Construction) Monitoring
• Travel to fabrication and construction sites/yards for assigned projects, as and when required.
• Witness and monitor contractors' welding activities.
• Verify that equipment is preserved per the supplier's recommendation and the approved preservation procedures.
• Ensure contractors' welders are aware of relevant... up-to-date codes, standards, specifications, and drawings.
• Oversee inspection of mechanical equipment, piping, structure, and welding & NDE activities conducted at construction sites.
• Ensure testing, measuring, welding, and NDE equipment is fully calibrated per specification and has current certification.
• Report daily welding activities in a timely manner.
• Witness/participate in material Receiving Inspection at construction site to identify damage or deficiency with Contractors.
• Review original material certificates for compliance with codes and specifications.
• Ensure storage and handling of welding consumables is per manufacturer's recommendations/specifications and has certification.
• Witness in-process inspections per ITP and Inspection Requests to ensure work proceeds in accordance with specifications, the approved drawings, and procedures.
Inspection and Testing Compliance
• Ensure inspection and testing in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP, and Quality Procedures.
• Conduct quality inspections at site locations in accordance with the Project's quality requirements.
Quality Awareness Promotion
• Promote quality awareness throughout the organization, emphasizing excellence, continuous improvement, and corrective action to influence the overall success of the company's business.
Communications
• Generate progress and inspection reports as per project requirements.
• Identify project quality stakeholders and ensure communication compliance as approved communication matrix.
Quality Management System (QMS)
• Observe Company Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Knowledge and Skills
• Maintain self-knowledge and skills along with associated accredited certifications as per company’s business requirements.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master's Degree in Engineering or Quality Management.
• 9 plus years of work experience in receiving inspection, certification, MDR compilation, hydro testing, and dimensional control.
• Experience with NDT, welding, and lifting operations.
• API 510/570 or experience to min BTEC/City & Guilds (HNC/HND) or equivalent with broad knowledge of requirements for testing pressure vessels and piping.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as IRCA Lead Auditor qualification and CSWIP Plant Inspector Level 2.
• Strong understanding of document management systems and processes, and experience in developing and implementing document numbering systems.
