Duties & Responsibilities Purpose To execute and supervise all fabrication maintenance activities including minor project in Upper Zakum Field. Implement pre and final hook up and conversion of well of WHPT's, Facility change, inspection reports and execute and supervise timely intervention in events of loss of containment of pressure system leaks. To supervise various project executed by ADNOC Head Quarter as Site Job Officer. All fabrication activities top surface facilities in Zakum field artificial islands.Functions Lead and mange a group of welders, fabricators and machinist to meet the site fabrication maintenance requirement on process piping, structural and WHPT pre and final hook up works. Ensure that works are executed in safe manner and strictly adheres to company HSEMS system and procedures along with good housekeeping practices. Liaise with planning and other trade counterparts for fabrication related work requested and to accomplish the works in an effective manner as... planned, including carrying out the unplanned day to works Estimate and prepare annual budget for executing all fabrication related works including day to day activities in term of material manpower equipment and project work and materials. To have thorough knowledge about the fabrication principle, materials and fittings of pressure vessels, Tanks, plant piping, hot tapping and structural as complied with the International standard such as ASME, API, BS and AWS etc. is essential. To review and study the Engineering package from ADNOC HQ provides comments for implementation methodology, material compatibility / specification and manpower requirements To execute, monitoring and control of work packages and fabrication activities for all primary, secondary and tertiary structural elements throughout all Zakum Oil Field installations in line with site responsibilities towards AIMS and SIMS. Work is extended to all steel work related to equipment with in process, utility and accommodation plants. Study and understand the piping isometric, plant lay out, P&I D, plant plot plan drawing and prepare other necessary sketches or isometric drawing to carry out fabrication, repair and modification of various types of plant piping and structures in accordance with Company procedures, standards, codes and practices. To conduct the site survey based on job requirement and in conjunction with other sections to complete the work in effective manner. Follow up with Commercial section to issue the requisition materials to site in time as specified and in liaise with different sections within field and ADNOC head quarter to sort out any issues related plant fabrication and project works. To understand and apply Materials Maintenance Management System (SAP) for material take off from in house stores and out sourcing materials by preparing Purchase requisition. Technical Qualification of supplier s bid provided by commercial section to be carried out in accordance with material specification also decide the supplier for LVP material based on quality and cost. Ensure that all Fabrication / Welding / Installation activities are conducted with in accordance with the company standing instructions and International standards. Review Welding Procedure Specification for new job conduct the test in accordance with company procedure or international standard. Annually conduct welder s qualification tests for welders in liaise with the Inspection Engineer. To have clear knowledge about different types of steel and alloy material and its utilization based on plant process piping.Principal Accountabilities (Cont'd) To have good knowledge about Central lathe, Milling and Drilling equipment and experience of precision measurement tools such as Vernier Calipers, Inside and Outside Micrometer, Bore gauges, dip gauges etc. To execute and supervise minor projects at site in liaise with ADNOC Head quarter Job officer as per the scope of work in an effective manner. To raise service request for any supports required from the Head Quarter through the system and follow up the progress and ensure that requested works delivered as specified. Reporting comprehensive daily activity reports to hierarchy outlining the case of repair, the nature of the work and materials, labor and time taken to complete the work. To organize / conduct the Job Safe Analysis and risk assessment with others trades for critical nature jobs. To ensure all workshop and machining equipment and tools are well maintained as per schedule and safe for use. To organize the planned shutdown activities by arranging the tools and materials in advance to accomplish shut down activities in an effective manner. To conduct the permit audit, tool and equipment audit and HSE observation. To motivate the team to build up the safety consciousness and encourage them by conducting TBT and to write HSE observation report for any anomaly. To educate and train UAE National.Work Contacts: Regular contacts at same level or next higher level within own department or others within UZ site and the head quarter in relation to fabrication activities.Independence Of Operation And Decision-making Authority Responsible for planning and implementing all maintenance hot work activity in Zakum and hook up activity in WHPT as per rig chart. To fix the priority of jobs based on its criticality/ safety and deploy suitable manpower. Utilize awarded budget for materials, manpower and Services provided from HQ. To evaluate and decide the supplier of material based on technical evaluation. Safety Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.Other Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering/Metallurgist or equivalent. 10 years' experience in Fabrication / Welding field of which at least 5 years experience as Supervisorlevel and of which 5 years in oil related / petrochemical industries. Understand and interpret the related codes and standards such as ASME 31.3, 16.5, Sec V, VIII & IX,AWS D1.1, API 510 and 570 etc. Good both spoken and written English language. Computer knowledge in using MS Office applications
