Job Descrption

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and other laundry items are cleaned, pressed, and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hospitality expected at our Desert Safari Camp.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Laundry Operations:

- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to safety standards.

- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry as required.

- Identify and treat stains, ensuring items are clean and presentable.

2. Inventory and Quality Control:

- Maintain an inventory of all linens and towels, ensuring that they are properly stored and organized.

- Inspect all laundered items for damage or wear and report any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

- Assist in maintaining stock levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages.

3. Guest Services:

- Provide laundry services to guests, ensuring prompt... collection and delivery of items.

- Handle guest inquiries and requests related to laundry services in a professional manner.

4. Hygiene and Safety:

- Follow all health and safety regulations, particularly those related to handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.

- Ensure that the laundry area is kept clean, tidy, and free of hazards.

5. Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with other housekeeping and camp staff to ensure seamless operations.

- Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed, including room cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment.

- Basic knowledge of laundry operations and equipment.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.

- Comfortable working in a hot and dry environment typical of a desert camp.

Working Conditions:

- This position may require working on weekends, public holidays, and during peak tourist seasons.

- Accommodation and meals will be provided depending on the camp's policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,600.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
