We are seeking a Senior Roads & Highways Engineer to join the Roads & Highways Design team, based in Dubai. The Senior Engineer (Roads & Highways) will be responsible for the design, analysis, and project management of roads and highways projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of relevant experience, a proven track record in the UAE market, and be approved by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai.
Your new role, what's involved?
• Lead the design and development of roads and highways projects from... conception through to completion.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration of road design with surrounding infrastructure.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with RTA standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, traffic impact assessments, and environmental assessments.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and documentation produced by junior engineers and consultants.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Liaise with government authorities, stakeholders, and clients to secure necessary approvals and permits.
• Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure best practices in road design.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 5-8 years of experience in a roads and highways design role.
• RTA approval or registration as an engineer in Dubai is mandatory.
• Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Road).
• Strong understanding of local regulations, standards, and environmental considerations.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
