We're seeking a motivated Software Engineer specialising in Typescript, React and React Native to join our growing team.
You'll collaborate closely with the Product Manager, Designers and Backend Engineers to grasp requirements, contribute to design discussions, and lead the development of our web and mobile apps.
The Apps team currently maintains:
- A web app (React)
- iOS and Android apps (React Native)
- Sophisticated middleware utilising Cloudflare workers (Typescript), that facilitates An edge caching and data processing system.
- Shared code libraries (Typescript)
We're obsessed with making our apps best-in-class, our mid to long term plans include:
- Optimise architecture for scalability and performance: We'll be working together to streamline our codebase, leverage cutting-edge tools, and ensure our apps can handle explosive growth, like a 10x increase in daily users.
- Craft personalised experiences with Generative AI: You'll help us develop AI-powered features that tailor the user experience, automate repetitive tasks, and empower users to control their data and preferences in intuitive ways.
- Master the art of user engagement: We'll explore innovative ways to leverage push notifications and dive into new UI frontiers including wearables, speech and 3rd party systems such as Teams or Slack.
We thrive in a collaborative environment, rapid iterations and data informed decision making. Your role will include helping to evolve these products to meet user needs alongside developing new and exciting features such as Generative AI features and wearables integrations (Apple Health, Google Fit etc).

Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building Web and Mobile experiences in B2B or B2C space.
- Proficiency in Typescript, HTML, CSS and Web standards
- A solid understanding of the React and React Native frameworks.
- Strong communication skills, passion for collaboration and ability to coach, be coached.
- Proven expertise in software architecture, developing and releasing mobile and web apps.
- A passion for quality and customer experience.
Nice to haves
- Experience with test and deployment automation for Web and Mobile apps
- Experience with Cloudflare workers.
- Experience integrating apps with services such as Apple Health and Google Fit.
- Understanding of how Generative AI, and specifically RAG works.
