Job Description Black & Grey HR is actively recruiting for a leading provider of aluminum and steel construction solutions in the Middle East. They specialize in structural fabrication and construction, with a strong presence in the region. Our client is looking for a Head of Department who will lead and oversee all aspects of the department's operations within the company.Responsibilities:- Departmental Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the civil engineering department, overseeing all aspects of its operations and ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil engineering projects with a focus on façade design, fabrication, and installation, while adhering to quality, budget, and schedule requirements.- Technical Expertise: Utilize your expertise in civil engineering and façade systems to provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring that projects meet structural integrity... safety standards, and aesthetic requirements.- Team Management: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of civil engineers, façade specialists, and supporting staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors, building and maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring clear communication throughout project lifecycle.- Financial Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor project expenses, and optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability.- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to civil engineering and façade construction, ensuring full compliance in all projects.- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, innovation, and professional development within the department to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.Requirements- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field. Additional qualifications or certifications in Façade Engineering or Structural Engineering are highly preferred.- Demonstrated experience of at least 10+ years in a leadership role within the civil engineering or construction industry, with a proven track record of managing projects and teams at a company scale.- Strong technical proficiency in civil engineering principles, façade systems, and construction methodologies. Proficiency in relevant software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software is advantageous.- Exceptional leadership and management skills, including team building, performance management, and conflict resolution.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels effectively and convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.- Proactive, results-oriented, and collaborative individual with a strong commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
