Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their vision, requirements, and objectives for events.
• Create detailed design concepts and mood boards that reflect the client’s brand, theme, and event goals.
• Develop space plans and layouts to optimize the use of space and ensure a cohesive design.
• Oversee the selection and sourcing of furnishings, decorations, lighting, and other design elements.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of design elements.
• Ensure that all design elements are executed according... to the approved design and within budget.
• Manage the design and implementation process from initial concept through to event completion.
• Conduct site visits and manage on-site setup to ensure that design specifications are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that arise during the event setup or execution.
• Present design proposals and modifications to clients, incorporating their feedback and preferences.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients throughout the design process.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality designs that meet or exceed expectations.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in interior design and event décor.
• Incorporate contemporary design trends and creative solutions into event spaces.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for design elements and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best rates and quality for design elements.
• Create and maintain accurate design documentation, including floor plans, design boards, and supplier agreements.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the project manager and clients on design progress and adjustments.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Certification from a recognized interior design organization (e.g., NCIDQ) is a plus.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in interior design, with a focus on event or commercial spaces preferred.
• Experience in designing and managing event spaces, including knowledge of event logistics and requirements.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial planning.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and team members.
• Strong creative and aesthetic vision with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• Ability to travel to event locations or sites as necessary.
• Physical ability to oversee setup and arrangement of design elements, which may involve lifting and moving materials.
