Estimator / Quantity Surveyor at Noon Design Studio

Job Descrption
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior design projects, including materials, furnishings, fixtures, labor, and installation costs.
• Analyze design plans, specifications, and client briefs to define the scope of work and required materials.
• Perform quantity take-offs for various design elements such as flooring, cabinetry, textiles, and lighting.
• Conduct market research to assess current pricing for materials and labor specific to interior design.
• Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure estimates reflect project requirements.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for client meetings.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering while maintaining design intent.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and assist in variance analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing estimates and financial projections.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of historical... costs and preferred vendors for materials and services.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an estimator in the Interior Design Industry (Interior Architects).
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
