Marine Operations Manager at Minor Hotels Dubai

Job Descrption
Responsibilities:
• Providing training to Boat Captains, Crews and other team members
• Ensuring navigation/communication equipment are in operational condition
• Liaises with local authorities and coordinating with third party companies regarding repair and maintenance of all vessels such as:
• Main contact for entire boat operations
• Ensuring all boat assets are mechanically safe and clean
• Keeping record of boat equipment and tools
• Conducting safety drills and rescue including sea trials
• Managing the Marine operation & fleet of 22 seated lookers, landing craft, rubber boats etc.
• Reporting directly to the Resort Manager
• Assessing and making decisions during bad weather condition
• Ensuring boat schedules for guest, suppliers and guest are carried out as per Company’s standard
• Carrying out minor boat repairs
• Ensuring all vessels are cleaned and maintained as per set standards without fail at all times
• Rostering... leave management and performance record of Boat captains and crews
• Inspecting the seaworthiness of all vessels
• Implementing & monitoring proper grooming and hygiene standards for Boat Captains, Boat Crew & Marine Hostesses as per company standard
• Making inventory and replenishment of all consumable items
• Tracking and monitoring all vessels
• Keeping record of all boat maintenance (mechanical, electrical, navigation and electronic equipment’s)
