Azure Solutions Engineer (Azure Landing Zone) at VaporVM

Job Descrption
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Proven track record of managing and delivering cloud migration projects, particularly transitioning from on-premises or other cloud environments (AWS, GCP) to Azure.
• Experience in implementing Azure Landing Zones to establish scalable and secure cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience in providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex Azure-related issues, and working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.
• Expertise in Azure security best practices, including network security, data protection (encryption, backup, and disaster recovery), identity and access management (IAM), and compliance with industry standards.
• Strong knowledge of... Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, or Bicep.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments, integrating solutions across Azure, AWS, GCP, or other platforms.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or other relevant languages.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
Soft Skills:
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional customer engagement skills, with experience in understanding business requirements and translating them into robust, scalable cloud solutions.
• Proven leadership and mentorship abilities, including experience in guiding junior architects and cloud engineers.
• Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Relevant certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305). Additional certifications like AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals), AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), and AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer Associate) are advantageous.
Past Projects and Achievements:
• Demonstrated success in delivering at least two major Azure cloud migration or implementation projects.
• Experience in designing and implementing a multi-tenant Azure environment or complex, high-availability cloud architectures.
• Involvement in projects that required integrating Azure with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), showing flexibility and adaptability in a multi-cloud landscape.
• Proven experience in optimizing cloud environments for performance, cost, and scalability.

• In-depth knowledge of the latest industry trends and Azure developments, with a passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of resolving complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Project management skills, with experience in coordinating and delivering projects within set timelines and budgets, while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Additional Plus Points
• Experience in implementing Zero Trust security models or other advanced security frameworks within Azure.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics).
• Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or participation in cloud-focused communities and events.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in the context of Azure environments
