As an Academic Counselor, you will be crucial in guiding and supporting students in their academic journeys. If you have excellent interpersonal and counseling skills, a genuine desire to make a positive impact on student's lives, and the ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide academic counseling to students, helping them set and achieve their educational and career goals.
• Assess students' needs, academic progress, and challenges, and develop personalized academic plans.
• Assist students in course selection, academic program planning, and degree requirements.
• Address students' concerns, including academic, personal, or social issues, and provide appropriate guidance and support.
•... Promote academic success strategies, study skills, and time management to enhance students' learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
• Participate in academic advising and counseling meetings and workshops.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in academic counseling, student advising, or a similar role.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
• Knowledge of educational programs and degree requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications and academic advising software.
• Familiarity with the education system in Abu Dhabi is a plus
