We, at GEMS International School, are looking for qualified and experienced Head of Department - Individuals and Society to join us. The ideal candidate will have:
• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specializing in Economics. Additionally they will be qualified to teach across the range of... humanities and social sciences.
• A minimum of 6-8 years of solid and demonstrable IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme Individuals and Societies teaching experience within an IB Curriculum at Middle and High/Secondary School
• An advantage if experienced in a similar role or at a similar level within a Premium IB International School
• The desire to provide outstanding teaching and learning
• Aspiration to work in a world class school with real prospects for enhancing their career
