Job Summary

Assistswith planning establishing implementing and maintaining a varietyof safety and environmental measures and initiatives to ensurecompliance with corporate and local department HSE... requirements andexpectations.

Responsibilities :
• Provides advice and consultation to departmentstaff to ensure a safe working environment in compliance withenvironmental / safety regulations standards andpractices.
• Identifies and evaluates hazardousconditions and practices in the workplace conducting surveys andcoordinating onsite inspections to audit physical conditions andsafe work practices.
• Conducts constructionsite and / or area safety inspections including hazard analyses andsafe work procedures and prepares written reports andrecommendations.
• Develops controls foridentified hazards coordinates implementation and evaluates theireffectiveness recommending changes to improve workplacesafety.
• Prepares safety orientations trainingand job site inspection procedures and conducts specialized safetyand environmental training programs.
• Participates in Safe Operations Committee meetings toaddress safety concerns and initiatives.
• Reviews and analyzes injury property damage andstatistical loss data preparing comprehensive recommendations forcorrective action.
• Incorporates essentialsafety requirements in all purchasing and contracting actionsrecommending the purchase of safety equipment and personalprotective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Maintains awareness of corporate safety and environmentalrequirements making recommendations for theirimplementation.
• Assists management inmonitoring adherence to department safety and environmentalprograms by employees and contractors.
• Performs other related duties as directed by thesupervisor.

Requirements :
• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• Preferred BS degree inengineering safety engineering industrial hygiene or environmentalscience or a related field.
• Minimum of five(5) years of related safety / operational experience and / or trainingpreferably in the oil / gas or petrochemical industry or in a relatedindustry such as marine pipelines or power distribution.
• Knowledge or training in occupational health safety andenvironmental compliance with applicable industry governmentaland / or international standards.
• Demonstratedexpertise in delivering handson health safety and environmentaltraining. Ability to assist with developing implementing andcoordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and writtenincluding proficiency in training presentations and reportwriting.
• Ability to lead and direct teamsand / or committees. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel andPowerPoint).
• Skilled in the standards conceptspractices and procedures within the health safety and environmentalfields.
• Ability to work at all levels withinan organization and in diverse workgroups.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
