The Lead Internal Auditor role is to review and evaluate the organization's internal controls, processes, policies, and mechanisms to ensure that they are adequate, effective and in compliance with the company policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. This role is expected to assist Internal Audit in achievement of department objectives through planned internal audit reviews and ad hoc assignments in accordance with the Internal Audit Charter & Organizational needs.Roles and responsibilities for Lead Internal Audit· Develop risk-based audit scope & auditable area for each planned audit.· Contribute to the identification of key risks and controls during each audit project.· Develop detailed audit work programs incorporating test schedules, sampling methodology etc. to ensure that the audit objectives are met.· Conduct interviews with key stakeholders to obtain an understanding of processes and controls. Based on evidence gathered and testing performed conclude... clearly on each step to ensure that audit objectives are met.· Ensure that supporting work papers are clear and relevant and sufficient evidence is obtained to support audit conclusions. All work papers should be properly documented in line with the IA manual.· Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit reports. Discuss and validate any audit exceptions /weakness/concerns highlighted during reviews with Stakeholders, identifying related risks and recommended corrective actions.· Agree reports with management and obtain management responses and target action dates.· Complete assigned audits within agreed time. Ensure that the Audit Manager is informed of progress and all escalations are made on a timely basis.· Where appropriate, familiarize yourself and assess compliance with the International Accounting Standards (IAS), Regulatory requirements, Company Policies & Procedures and DoA etc.· Undertake proactive follow up of outstanding audit issues, undertake thorough validation and obtain requisite evidence before closure of issues.· Assist Audit Manager in development of the annual audit plan and preparation of periodic reports to Management and Audit Committee.Based on Organizational need Lead Auditor may have to conduct end to end Fraud Investigation which includes gathering & documenting evidence, interviews, recommendations & action plan. Qualifications, experience, & skills· Bachelors/master’s degree in finance, Accounting or related Areas.· Part qualified CA, or ACCA, CPA, CIA.· 2-4 Years experience in Internal Audit role preferably in FMCG Sector. · · Strong Knowledge of MS office suite (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint), Experience & Knowledge in Dynamics 365 will be an added advantage.· Strong Analytical mindset and well versed with IIA standards.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Strong presentation skills, communication & report writing skills· Ability to work in a small team or independently as required.· Problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities.· Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
