Credit Controller at LITASCO Middle East DMCC

Job Descrption
Credit Controller is responsibility for close monitoring and accurate reporting of credit risk exposure in the application of incoming receivables and collection process. This role is crucial for as well as to minimize any delays in payment and alert of any payment problems.
Primary Accountabilities
Payments and Overdue Reporting
• Handle application of incoming payments on a daily basis, matching received payments with the relevant invoices or proforma-invoices. Contact the client when payment confirmation needed
• Responsible for close monitoring and reporting of overdue receivables and follow up with the respective customers and internally with operators and traders
• Monitor execution of collection strategies
• Responsible for close monitoring of positive vendor balances and reporting in the weekly overdue reports to management
• Track incoming demurrage payments and communication with demurrage department;
• Ensure accurate and timely issuance of invoices... to/from counterparties
• Manage reconciliation of client accounts
• Responsible for close monitoring and collection of interest for late payment (Third parties)
• Responsible for generation of interest invoices for late payments
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly Account Receivables reports.
Other tasks
• Ensure compliance with the Company’s Credit Policy
• Assist colleagues to assess credit exposure and advise on sufficiency of credit limits for new trades
• Participate in ad hoc projects; take actions to develop and implement new projects related to Credit Control
• Share knowledge and expertise with other Credit Control & Credit Risk Management team members
• Other credit-related tasks at manager’s request.
Requirements:
• 2 – 5 years experience in credit administration or credit control and or accounting (bank, insurance, commodity trading)
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP required
• Good knowledge of Window’s environment (advanced in Excel)
• Good knowledge of Accounting principles
• Knowledge of a treasury platform is a plus (i.e. Citidirect)
• Rigor, attention to detail, at ease with numbers
• Good communication and interpersonal skills (able to interact efficiently with other Departments and build relationships with customers)
• Manage tasks and prioritize independently
• Analytical thinking: problem solving, anticipation of obstacles, making logical conclusions and see implications/consequences of solution.
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Good business judgment
• Fluent in English
• Russian language is a plus
