The Role:
We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our London based development team, in... a hybrid role. You will be a key member delivering the quality of web and mobile technologies, driving forwards an award winning, trail blazing PropTech platform.
The role will be an integral part of the product team and is key to improving how our software is delivered; with a focus on security, reliability, and a great user experience.
You should be aware of the latest trends and tools in the problem space, and always seeking to improve your craft – you will be empowered to drive best practices within the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a relatively new, market leading product, at a crucial stage in its growth. As a small team there is a lot of autonomy and as such is perfect for those who love the ability to take ownership and make their mark.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with product and engineering team to align QA strategies with project objectives, timelines and successful releases
• Participate in agile development processes, provide timely feedback
• Maintain user acceptance test scripts, use cases and identify tests for automation
• Able to carry out testing methods including; scripted, exploratory, regression and ad-hoc
• Ensure quality by testing applications with reliability and stability in mind
• Performing End to end testing of mobile apps in Android and iOS devices including tablets
• Write and execute detailed test cases, test plans and documentation
• Work with support team on reproducing the production issues, identifying the root cause
• Participate in the various agile ceremonies
Required Skills and Experience
• 3+ years of web applications testing.
• 3+ years of mobile application testing experience
• Understanding of good testing practices and design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to find potential flaws
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Creation and documentation of test plans and scripts, execute tests, analysis of results and reporting
• Work experience in an agile environment
• ISEB/ISTQB certified.
Desirable
• Degree in a relevant field
• Familiar with coded UI test automation tools Selenium & Appium
• Experience at growth-stage companies
• Knowledge working with SaaS applications
