We are looking to hire an English-to-Mandarin Chinese Transcreator who will be responsible for a project that involves translating, localizing, and content adaptation. This role is for our client based in Dubai- they are a semi-governmental organization in the hospitality industry.

This project is expected to take 100 hours, and it is a remote role.

Key responsibilities:
• Transcreation: Translate and adapt content from English to Standard Mandarin Chinese, ensuring the essence and meaning are preserved while tailoring the content to fit the Chinese market.
• Content Localization: Modify the content to suit cultural norms, language idioms, and local expectations of the Chinese-speaking audience.
• Quality Assurance: Review and proofread translated content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and fluency.
• Communication: Work closely with project managers and designers to ensure that all deliverables are aligned with the project goals.

Knowledge, skills & experience:
• Native Mainland... Chinese speaker with excellent proficiency in English.
• Proven experience in transcreation and content adaptation for marketing, editorial, or creative projects.
• Strong understanding of Chinese culture and the ability to localize content for a Chinese audience.
• Experience working on design adaptation projects and collaborating with creative teams.
• Hospitality industry experience is mandatory.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
• Previous experience working on directory-style projects or marketing materials.
• Familiarity with design software or design concepts to aid in the content adaptation process.
